Spotlight on Kew
Hello, rock music lovers.
Ms. Townsend has been in love with rock music most of her life. Her imagination and personal antidotes with rock stars fueled her imagination to write the AFFAIRS OF THE HEART COLLECTION (London, Hollywood & Briarwood series) describing the fantasy and glamorous life of the rags-to riches-stories of gorgeous 1970s-80s rock stars. Of course, she added a giant dose of hot romance with a sprinkling of suspense and mystery to keep you on your toes. 
Ms. Townsend is an educator that lives in sunny Southern California, where she loves to sit under a palm tree and watch the wave’s crash along the shoreline.
Kew’s love of rock music began at a very young age when she returned glass Coke bottles for change to buy 45 rpm records. Her interest moved from the music to the musician, and living in Hollywood, interviewed the Beatles when they landed at Los Angeles International Airport. Acquiring a taste for the funny Englishmen, she dated one of the Rolling Stones that exposed her to sex, drugs, and rock and roll. Later her memories surfaced in her writings weaving her life long love of fairy tales and castles, mysteries, lightning, and thunder into a romantic suspense story.
So it’s no surprise that Kew loves to binge on thriller and suspense movies/TV shows; especially those that add murder in a dark, gloomy castle surrounded by lightning, thunder, and things that go-bump-in-the-night.
Writing influences that ignited Kew’s imagination as a young child were Grimm’s Fairy Tales. Later Kew’s bookshelves flourished with the 1980s best selling authors Collins, Devereux, King, Koontz, Krantz, Rice, Sheldon, and Steele. Her strong interest in glitz-n-glam, rags-to-riches stories, about entertainers, specifically actors and musicians, developed, due to growing up in the ‘dream maker’ town, Hollywood.
Kew’s master’s degree in Cultural Anthropology and Archaeology enhance her world travel, and add zest to her novels.
